ABOUT US

Sustainable design principles are core to our projects, from orientation and siting to assist passive solar design, through to considered material selection and efficient planning to reduce waste and excess.

We seek early input from builders to ensure budgets are realistic, aligning design briefs and construction budgets to enable projects to be realised. This collaborative approach has contributed to our high strike rate of getting projects built.

AKA have designed buildings using a variety of materials including traditional lightweight timber frames, masonry and precast concrete as well as strawbale and hempcrete. Materials are selected to be durable, economical and beautiful.
